The death took place this morning at the residence of his son on the Cockshutt road, of George Rushton, farmer, aged 87 years. Deceased, whose wife predeceased him years ago, was a well known and highly respected resident of the township of Brantford. He came from Lancashire, England, and took up a farm in this section in 1855. He is survived by ten children, viz., William of Virginia, Hartley of Merriton, Robert, Hiram and George of St. Thomas, Mrs. D.J.Mitchell and Mrs. J.E.Hetherington of Brantford, Mrs. John Clegg, Paris, and Joseph and Miss Mary at home. The funeral will take place to Greenwood on Wednesday afternoon.
